Weekly Quiz – 3 October 2026 – Canada

Play the quiz online or download the classroom PowerPoint and printable PDFs.

A local lens, with a global view

Keep Canadian stories visible while connecting them with major developments elsewhere. The Canada edition is intended as a shared classroom activity: questions can prompt discussion, bring different interests into the room and open up a broader conversation about the week.

What comes in the quiz pack?

Each published edition includes an interactive quiz, printable question sheets, an answer key and a classroom PowerPoint. Use the interactive version for a whole-class round, or print the questions for teams and small groups.

Ways to use a weekly classroom quiz

The questions work best as a conversation starter, not just a score. Give pupils time to think, explain their reasoning and connect an answer to something they have learned.

  1. 1.Ask groups to explain their choice before the answer is revealed, then compare reasoning across the room.
  2. 2.After a news question, distinguish what the question establishes from what pupils would need to investigate further.
  3. 3.Re-use an answer as an exit question: write one new detail learned and one question still unanswered.

Who is this edition for?

Teachers wanting a Canadian current-affairs quiz or ready-made general-knowledge activity for class openers, tutor groups or shared school sessions.

A new country edition is planned for weekly release. This week's published quiz and teaching resources are free to access.
